Abstract

|
The quantitative determination of chloroquine contents of the blood and the tissues, using Gettler´s method, was experimentally carried out in rabbits.
Chloroquine levels of the blood remained rather content despite the differences in doses administered and in time of absorption. The exception was the cases in which the lethal doses were given. On the contrary, The higher chloroquine cintents were observed in the tissues such as brain, kindney and liver, which at the same time, were subjected to the inflammatory changes.
This method appeared to be not spectific for quantitative determination of chloroquine, especially in existence of its congeners, in the organism.
